“Flower Girls: A Story of Sisters” by Jacqueline Preiss Weitzman

The story of three sisters, all with different ideas of what makes a garden. If Lily is right, then gardens need to be planned and planted in perfect rows. If Poppy is right, seeds should be scattered with the breeze and planted without hesitation. When it’s Daisy’s turn to plant her own garden, she isn’t sure what is right. A journey of creativity and the power of different personalities. Maybe no one is wrong, maybe everyone just needs to do what they love in the world of expression. Flowers and sisters combine together in a swirl of greenery and love in this adorable picture book.

“The Five Sides of Marjorie Rice: How to Discover a Shape” by Amy Alznauer

Her whole life, Marjorie looked for patterns. She saw incredible shapes and tessellating images all around her. She loved how math and art came together to build patterns out of different shapes. As she grows older, she may have drifted away from discovering new shapes, but she always came back to what she loved. This book tells the real life story of Marjorie Rice and how she went on to discover four out of fifteen possible tessellating pentagonal shapes. A visually masterpieceful picture book that inspires everyone to follow their dreams.
