KI SAWYER — After more than three decades assigned to Sawyer Air Force Base, most of it as a part of the Strategic Air Command, the 410th Bomb Wing retired its colors in a brief ceremony here Tuesday morning and said goodbye to the officer who served as its final commander. As a B-52H passed overhead, outgoing wing commander Col. Regner Rider placed a black stocking over the 410th guidon, the unit’s flag, and saluted the small number of airmen and women remaining on base.
