ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP – Ishpeming Township will hold a public hearing to gather community feedback on its proposed recreation plan at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Ishpeming Township Hall, 1575 U.S. 41 West, Ishpeming. The hearing will take place during the regularly scheduled planning commission meeting.

The Recreation Plan outlines goals, priorities, and potential projects aimed at enhancing parks, trails and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. Community participation is essential to ensure the plan reflects local needs and interests.

Copies of the proposed Recreation Plan are available for public review online at:

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share their input. Comments may be:

• Provided in person at the public hearing.

• Submitted in writing by email to treasurer@ishpemingtownship.com or by mail to Ishpeming Township, 1575 U.S. 41 West, Ishpeming. Written comments must be received no later than 3 p.m. Aug. 28.

Following the public hearing and review of all comments, the planning commission and township board may consider adoption of the recreation plan at the same meeting.
