ESCANABA – Bay College has unveiled a new cohort-based initiative to ease the transition into college for first-time dual enrollment and early college students.

Launching fall 2025, the program features specially designed online course sections that provide extra academic and personal support to high school students taking their first college classes. Each course will be taught by experienced instructors working with high school learners and passionate about student development.

“You spoke, we listened,” said Jessica LaMarch, director of Dual Enrollment and Early College at Bay College. “We heard from educators and families that first-time DE and EC students need more support and structure–and we’re responding with a program that’s built just for them.”
