MARQUETTE — Summer tax bills totaling approximately $44.7 million were mailed to Marquette city property owners on June 30. The due date for payment of city summer taxes is Sept. 14, 2025.

Tax collection begins July 1, 2025, and payments are accepted without interest through Sept. 14, 2025, at the city treasurer’s office or online (fees apply) at www.marquettemi.gov. Interest of 1% is added to the summer tax bill on Sept. 15 and on the fifteenth of every following month.

The 2025 summer property tax bill represents millage levies for the city of Marquette, Peter White Public Library, senior millage, Downtown Development Authority, Marquette Area Public Schools, state education, Marquette-Alger RESA, county operating and Iron Ore Heritage Authority.
