MARQUETTE — The new UP Health System-Marquette medical office building, located at 1400 W. Washington St. where the old Office Max store once was in the city of Marquette, is now completely open for business.

The facility will house three services: Outpatient Behavioral Health, the U.P. Regional Blood Center and the U.P. Bariatric Institute, said Tonya Darner, UPHS-Marquette CEO.

“We are thrilled to bring these vital services to a new state-of-the-art facility,” Darner has said. “This new building reflects our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community–through both quality patient care and economic development–providing enhanced accessibility and support for all our patients. It’s a beautiful space and we’re happy to be able to finally open our doors to the public.”

According to UPHS-Marquette, the remodel and upgrade of the former retail location that had sat vacant for several years started in 2022 and included restoration of the parking lot and building exterior as well as a complete remodel of the inside to create a modernized space. The Medical Office Building has ample parking and is conveniently located on a main thoroughfare, near several core entry points into the city of Marquette
