NEGAUNEE — Fourth grade students and their teachers from Lakeview Elementary School in Negaunee completed Marigold Mania 2025 at the Miners Park.

Right after spring break, the students start their own marigolds in the green house at Lakeview school. During the last week of school they walk them over to the Miners Park to plant them in various flower beds.

This annual effort is a partnership with the Negaunee Parks and Recreation Commission and Lakeview school. Anna Mattson from the commission, welcomes the students and encourages them to continue with volunteerism as they move forward within the school system.

Students are encouraged to check in on their project and share it with parents, grandparents and everyone they share the Miners Park with.
