NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee City Band has announced its 2025 concert season, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11. Concerts will continue on succeeding Wednesdays, with the final one scheduled for Aug. 6.

Concerts are held at the Negaunee Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street. The public is invited to attend these free

concerts and may wish to bring their own chairs as available seating is somewhat limited.

Lucas Wickstrom continues as director. Wickstrom, best known as an organist and church musician, is very active in the local music scene

where he sings with the Negaunee Male Chorus, plays various instruments in several groups and is involved in many musical theater productions.

The band participated, as it has for many years, in Negaunee’s Memorial Day Parade and cemetery ceremony. Also on the schedule are appearances in Ishpeming’s Independence Day Celebration Parade on July 5 and Negaunee’s Pioneer Days Parade on July 12.
