MARQUETTE — Marquette Senior High School seniors Cece Fuller and Halle Haynes were recently awarded the Bill Christensen Memorial Softball Scholarship by the MSHS Softball Board of Directors.

Bill Christensen played an important part in MSHS Softball’s inaugural Spring Swing tournament in 2002 and continued volunteering his time with the program until 2017.

He had a passion for this game unrivaled by most and loved watching the athletes grow each year athletically and educationally. Scholarship candidates must possess a GPA of 3.3 or higher, have played at least one full year of softball at MSHS, must be attending an accredited university, college, technical school, or DOL apprenticeship and submit two letters of recommendation.
