NEGAUNEE — There was hustling and bustling in Negaunee today as merchants, city employees and members of the Christmas observance committee continued their preparations for the annual visit of Santa Claus, who will enter the decorated holiday “lane” on Iron Street at 7 o’clock Wednesday night, seated on a snow-white throne and accompanied by four fairies, forming a court of honor. The “Santa Claus Lane” spectacle will be the most elaborate seen here and considerable time has been spent in preparing a suitable throne for Saint Nick’s appearance.
