MARQUETTE — Munising deer researcher John Ozoga will be autographing copies of his new book — “Whitetail Autumn: Seasons of the Whitetail, Book One” — from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at B. Dalton Booksellers in the Westwood Mall in Marquette. Prior to retiring, Ozoga worked for more than 33 years at the state Department of Natural Resources Cusino Wildlife Research Station near Shingleton.

MARQUETTE — Two Northern Michigan University students are participating this weekend in the fall extemporaneous tournament and public address festival being held at Calvin College, Grand Rapids. Representing Northern at the meet, sponsored by the Michigan Intercollegiate Speech League, are Jay Johnson, Ironwood senior, and Bob Manning, Chicago sophomore.
