MARQUETTE — First steps which are expected to lead to the early construction of an addition to and remodeling of the Marquette post office and federal building on the present site have been taken by the government, with the arrival here of R. L. Bevans, a member of the U. S. construction and engineering department. Postmaster L. W. Biegler said yesterday that he expected that an architect will be selected soon to make plans for the enlargement and remodeling program, and that work will be started before the cold weather sets in. He stated that additions probably would be built on the north and west sides and the present building would be completely remodeled.
