MARQUETTE — The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will hold its next membership meeting from 6:30-8:15 p.m. Aug. 14.

Social time begins at 6:15 p.m. The meeting will be held in the George Shiras Room, on the second floor of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

Attorney Mark Brewer will speak on issues in the administration of Michigan elections. Mr. Brewer’s practice involves labor, election, campaign finance, and non-profit law. He has been a pivotal figure in election cases since the 1980s, spanning issues such as redistricting, presidential primaries, recalls, and voting rights.
