AuTRAIN — The Iron Bay Auction Company will hold an open house and ice cream social on Sunday July 24 from 11 am to 2pm at the Hiawatha Folk Craft and Art Center. The social will preview the Saturday, Aug. 6th real estate auction regarding the Paulson House Museum, the former Avery Color Studios, and the folk craft and art center. The center is located on AuTrain Lake, two miles south of the M-28 caution light on Forest Lake Road. .

MENOMINEE — Menominee County’s Ed Reindl has set a record for holding the office of county sheriff in the county and he intends to extend the record. He filed petitions this week for re-election, seeking to Republican nomination in the Sept. 1 primary. Sheriff Reindl took office on Jan. 1, 1931, and has served continuously for 17 terms.
