MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Maritime Museum and the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse open for the 2024 season on May 14. Museum hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays). Lighthouse tours are at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and now include the newly renovated second floor of the lighthouse

The first special event of the season is a Sunrise Lighthouse Tour on May 15. This tour takes you out on the catwalk for a spectacular view the sunrise on Lake Superior. Bring your camera! Registration is required and tour begins at the Marquette Maritime Museum at 5:45 a.m. Sunrise Lighthouse Tours are on the third Wednesday of the month through September and times for each tour are on the museum website.
