Spring book sale planned

MARQUETTE — From 2-6 p.m. Monday, the American Association of University Women, Marquette Branch, is offering an easy way for the community to donate their gently read books, games, puzzles, CDs and DVDs for the upcoming book sale at the First Presbyterian Church in, Marquette located at 120 N. Front St., Marquette.

The convenient drop-off site will have easy to access collection bins located on the sidewalk outside of the First Presbyterian church on the corner of North Front and Bluff streets, Marquette, as well as assistance will available.

In addition, other donation drop-off locations include Incredible Bank on 1101 N. Third St., the Marquette Medical Center offices (McClellan Street entrance,) the Marquette Community Federal Credit Union on 1230 W. Washington St., Embers Credit Union (Gwinn, Negaunee, Trenary, Munising and both Marquette branches) will remain as collection sites until Friday, April 19.

The annual book sale will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 120 N. Front St., in Marquette, beginning with a presale on Thursday, April 25 and ending with a super Saturday sale on April 27.

Proceeds from the AAUW Spring Book Sale help support the AAUW mission of advancing gender equity for women and girls including the local academic scholarship program.
