16-year-old in college
MARQUETTE — Sisteen-year-old Rain Mowrey will be starting junior year at Northern Michigan University this fall.
Rain graduated from high school in May 2022 at the age of 14 and continued at Lansing Community College the following week. Rain will graduate with an associate degree this May and continue a bachelor’s degree in social work this fall at Northern Michigan University.
Rain expects to go on to complete a PhD in social work. Rain’s grandparents are Mary Williams Finlan and Bill Finlan of Escanaba and Gladstone
Rain briefly attended Holy Name School in Escanaba for kindergarten before the family moved south.
