NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Public Library is hosting UP Poet Laureate Beverly Matherne and local poet Troy Graham at 4 p.m. April 5.

Additionally, the library and Iron Golem Games are teaming up to offer a Pokemon card game event. Kids can learn how to play the popular card game at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Negaunee Public Library.

A limited number of preconstructed “starter” decks will be available for those who register with the library. To register, please Facebook message the library or call (906) 475-7700 ext. 18.

The public is invited to attend this free event, intended for children and young people ages 7-17 years of age.

Children 7 and older who are unaccompanied must be able to provide a caring adult’s phone number in case of emergency.
