MARQUETTE — “Carousel,” the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II Broadway hit of the ’40’s and ’50’s, has been selected as this year’s musical show by the Northern Michigan University production staff. The third Broadway musical to be presented by Northern, “Carousel” follows in the successful footsteps of 1962’s premier production “South Pacific” and last year’s Damon Runyan hit, “Guys and Dolls.” “Carousel,” which is scheduled to run five days, March 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, will be the first musical staged in Northern’s new Little Theater.
