MARQUETTE -- The Superiorland Woodturners chapter of the American Association of Woodturners will hold its January meeting on Tuesday at the Peter White Pubic Library in Marquette.
The evening's demonstration will focus on segmented woodturning, a technique where multiple small pieces of wood are glued together to make rings which are then stacked upon each other, glued and turned on the lathe.
Dwight Vansickle will be the main presenter. There will also be a show and tell portion of the meeting, with members of the club bringing in examples of their work.
The meeting is free and open to the pubic. Social and setup time starts at 6 p.m., with the meeting running from 6:30-8:15 p.m.
