Ishpeming advances in High School Bowl

MARQUETTE – Ishpeming played Escanaba in the first round of High School Bowl and won by a score of 230-220. Thirty-eight schools from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU TV’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 45 years on the air. Ishpeming will advance to the second round when they play Sault Ste. Marie, scheduled to air on Feb. 24. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on WNMU-TV Saturdays at 8 pm and Mondays at 3 pm. It is also available on the Michigan Learning Channel.
