MARQUETTE -- Michigan-based artist Mary Brodbeck will be presenting an Art Talk on Jan. 9. The talk is sponsored by the Lake Superior Art Association as part of its community outreach efforts. Our organization would like to encourage the public to attend.
Mary's work has gained acclaim both nationally and abroad. Her art is relevant to Marquette in several ways. Not only is her subject matter often the Great Lakes watershed, but Mary uses a traditional Japanese woodblock technique called ,okuhanga, which should interest Marquette residents who participate in the Sister Cities program.
