MARQUETTE — The Family Search Center at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will host a genealogy research opportunity to help find information about ancestors who are served in the military.. It is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.on Saturday at the church at 350 Cherry Creek Rd in Harvey. It is located west of the intersection of US 41 South and M28.

There is no charge for the services at the Family Search Center, which include access to programs like Fold3 which would otherwise require a subscription for individuals.

Interested participants may reserve a 30 minute session with a family history consultant by texting Dewey Jones at 906 361-9651. The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and the Marquette County Genealogical Society are assisting with the event.
