Endowment makes $10K donation to cap year
The Shiras Institute made a $10,000 donation to the YMCA of Marquette. Shown in the photo left to right. The Shiras institute is a philanthropic endowment created in 1937 by George Shiras III and his wife Frances. The endowment was a gift to the Upper Peninsula and the city of Marquette to benefit recreation, beautification and cultural activities according to a historically published statement.
