MUNISING — The city agreed Monday to support a snowmobile bridge over the Anna River Munising’s east side. The Munising Visitors Bureau plans to build the bridge, which will be maintained by the bureau and the state Department of Natural Resources as part of the state trail system. The Visitors Bureau has filed construction permit applications with the DNR and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The bridge should be completed by Dec. 1. Material and labor will be donated.

MUNISING — Welfare registrars in all counties in upper Michigan in which national forests are located have been advised this week to be prepared to furnish from 500 to 600 men to work on various construction projects to be launched under the federal public works program, R. H. McKennan. Forest supervisor, announced here yesterday. This follows closely upon the announcement last week that $425,000 had been allotted to three upper Michigan forests for construction projects, including improvements of main roads, fire breaks building, and fire line construction, as well as other kinds of permanent work.
