MARQUETTE — Two Marquette mothers were pelted with crab apples as they marched around Marquette Senior High School Tuesday to protest the day-old teachers’ strike. Beth Calamas and Eve Wyman were amused by the apples thrown by a masked passenger in a passing car on West Fair Avenue by the high school. But the two women weren’t amused by the school negotiations “I’m just concerned about the kids.” Calamas said. “It’s time to set aside the differences and get on with the education of our children.”
