DNR citizens group to meet

HOUGHTON — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council will meet at Dee Stadium Ballroom, 700 East Lakeshore Drive, in Houghton from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Among agenda items selected by council members, the group is scheduled to receive an update on recent nuisance regulation changes made at the May Michigan Natural Resource Commission meeting.

In addition, presentations by the western district of the DNR Forest Resources Division on the Upper Peninsula trails system, and search and rescue operations for the DNR Parks and Recreation Division will be provided.

Additional business includes reports from various division staff and committee reports, including a proposed resolution regarding a moose hunt.
