MARQUETTE–Those in the community that give, give, give wil finally get something in return –recognition and it’s happening tonight.

In honor of its 35th anniversary, the Community Foundation of Marquette County will host its annual Catalyst Awards.

This year, the focus reflects upon the last 35 years of philanthropy in the county.

The foundation will honor individuals and organizations that have made life better for Marquette County residents.

“Our Annual Celebration is an opportunity for our staff and board of trustees to say thank you to the Marquette County Community,” said Community Foundation CEO Zosia Eppensteiner. “The years go by so quickly, and yet, when we see the impact over 35 years through the generosity of our donors, we realize the power of working together to make an even bigger impact.”

“This special evening is one way that we can express our gratitude to the donors, businesses and funders who invest in our community. So many individuals and organizations work tirelessly to make a real difference to the lives of people and organizations in need across Marquette County, including Big Bay, Gwinn, Ishpeming, Marquette, and Negaunee.”

The Community Foundation’s five 2023 Catalyst Award Honorees and their contributions will be announced throughout the event.

Starting at 5 p.m. in Northern Michigan University’s Grand Ballroom in the Northern Center, the event will begin with guest registration and a social hour.

At 6 p.m., dinner will de served and the annual meeting will convene. The Catalyst Award Presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m.
