MARQUETTE — Chaval Christian Dance Company celebrated its grand opening at its new location with a ribbon cutting ceremony and presentation of the first dollar on the August 4.

The new location is at 147 West Washington Street, the former Marquette Center for Dance building. The first dollar was presented by Pat Shaw to Marquette resident Hannah Lynne Zick, Chaval’s founder and owner, in memory of Bill Shaw. Hannah has a passion for the arts and beleives that God will be glorified in them. Founded in 2020,

Chaval Christian Dance Company is a studio where dance, music, and art classes are offered.Itsmission is to raise technically trained artists who are filled with passion to honor God in their movements, performances, and daily life.

Chaval offers daytime and evening classes Monday through Friday.

Dance classes range from tot to adult and include private lessons. Private music lessons include voice, piano, violin, guitar and ukulele,and an intro to music tot class.
