A day at the beach
From left, Boyd Moore, 8, and his sisters, Olivia, 6, and Charlotte, 9, all of Negaunee, look at the “shellies” made during a beach party on Thursday, which was part of the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum Second Thursday Creativity Series. Other activities included eating frozen custard from Culver’s, getting a free straw hat, listening to ukelele music and playing on a makeshift golf course. UPCM’s next Second Thursday Creativity Series event will feature a petting zoo with JoKay Corral from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. Aug. 10. Attendees can experience hands-on craft activities, creative snacks and free Culver’s frozen custard. It’s free to participate. For more information about the U.P. Children’s Museum, visit upchildrensmuseum.org. (Journal photo by Christie Mastric)
