U.P. Advisory council to meet

SAULT STE. MARIE — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ Eastern Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council will meet from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 13 at Lake Superior State University’s Cisler Center, 650 W. Easterday Ave.

Among the meeting agenda items, the group is scheduled to receive updates on progress of a new Upper Peninsula public shooting range, a permanent working forest conservation easement project, statewide staff changes, and the status of proposed deer regulations presented to the Michigan Natural Resources Commission.

Additional business includes officer elections and committee reports.
