Knitters meeting scheduled

MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Knitters will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13 at the Marquette Regional History Center. Children ages 10 and over are invited to learn how to knit.

They are invited to bring a skein of worsted yarn, not a dark color, and a size 7 circular needle that is 16 inches or 24 inches to knit a cowl. New members are welcome.

Members will discuss participation in Art Week on June 12 at the Commons building. All community knitters are invited to join the display. For details, email beedhive47@yahoo.com before June 15.

A contribution to the MRHC of $1 to $5 is collected at each meeting to support its community activities.

Saturday, June 10 is Knitting in Public Day. Knitters will be at the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market in the Commons and/or Alley Kay along Washington Street.
