Young Authors Conference to bring students to NMU

MARQUETTE — The Young Authors Conference will come to Jamrich Hall at Northern Michigan University from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday..

The event will involve over 3,400 students from local school districts celebrating literacy. The featured author this year is Jerry Pallotta. To learn more about him, visit jerrypallotta.com.

Students will attend Pallotta’s presentation in room 1100, celebrate their own writing during a book-sharing session, participate in a special writing activity and enjoy a lunch at NMU.

Pallotta will visit Aspen Ridge School in the gymnasium from 2 to 2:45 p.m.

A presentation and book signing with Pallotta is set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 9 in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.

Pallotta will hold another presentation and book signing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 10 at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s Children’s Library.
