West Shore Museum opens
MENOMINEE — West Shore Fishing Museum will open for the summer Saturday and Sunday.
Visit a unique indoor/outdoor homestead museum that focuses on the commercial fishing history of the West Shore of Green Bay. Admission is free; the hours are Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Central Time) or by appointment. The museum is located adjacent to Bailey Park at N5146 M-35, 15 miles north of Menominee.
This unique site offers numerous experiences for visitors of all ages and interests. It has a restored home, two authentic display outbuildings, seven fishing vessels in two pavilions, a mile of wooded and shore trails, lovely gardens and grounds, and a unique vintage gift shop. t is a great place for a family afternoon. Leashed dogs are welcome.
The annual perennial plant sale will be held onJune 3 and 4, from 1-4 p.m. CT
Heritage Crafts Day with a silent auction and many live demonstrations is scheduled for Sunday, July 30. The season finale and annual raffle will be Sunday, Sept. 3.
