One seed, one state

1 min read

The Michigan Seed Library Network has launched its annual One Seed, One State program for 2023. Each year, a specific seed variety is selected which is known to grow successfully anywhere in the State of Michigan as a way to promote growing, saving and sharing seeds. This year the seed variety chosen is "Grand Rapid Lettuce." Those who would like to start a garden and learn how to "save seeds" from their garden are invited to participate. The program is free and open to the public. A brochure and seeds are available at the Peter White Public Library, next to the Queen City Seed Library cabinet.
