Trout Unlimited banquet set

MARQUETTE — The Fred Waara Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its conservation, social and fundraising banquet on Saturday, April 15 at the Northern Center on the campus of Northern Michigan University.

After an absence of three years, it is time to gather. This banquet supports the chapter’s work in cold water education conservation and habitat work.

The chapter is one of largest in the nation in terms of total area served and was recently named “Chapter of the Year” in the state of Michigan.

The chapter supports 12 schools for “Salmon in the Classroom,” provides fishing-related instruction, and conducts habitat work.

The public is invited to attend to support a rich part of the Upper Peninsula heritage, and hear your buddies tell tall tales of big fish and bigger adventures.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and in addition to a nice meal, there are bucket raffles, silent auctions and displays.

Tickets may be obtained directly at https://tu.myeventscenter.com/event/Fred-Waara-Chapter-Trout-Unlimited-Banquet-72645, or by contacting Doug Miller at dsmiller1@me.com. Visit the chapter’s website at fredwaaratu.org to purchase event tickets, raffle tickets and chapter swag bags in advance.

Starting at $3.23/week.
