Wiese appointed to state board
MARQUETTE — Matthew J. Weise, Marquette County chief prosecuting attorney, has been named by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board.
He also serves as a peer review consultant for the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women.
Wiese has a bachelor of science degree from Northern Michigan University and a juris doctorate degree from Vermont Law School.
Wiese’s term will expire on Dec. 4, 2025.
The appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Michigan Senate.
