NEGAUNEE — A large cast of Negaunee amateurs is busy with rehearsals for a three-act play, “A College Town,” which will be presented soon in St. Paul’s parochial school. The play will be presented for the benefit of St. Paul’s Church and it will be the first entertainment to be given in the new school auditorium, which has a large and well-equipped stage. Mrs. Joseph P. Regan, who has had considerable experience with amateur theatricals, is directing the cast.
The auditorium in the new school has been equipped for social functions and it also can be used as a gymnasium. It is probable that grade school basketball teams will be organized, under the direction of the Rev. Joseph E. Dittman, and other social and athletic activities will be held in the auditorium and gymnasium during the winter months.
