Ebook or Audiobook: “Always the First to Die” by R.J. Jacobs — After her husband’s death, Lexi has refused to return to the Pinecrest Estate on the Florida Keys because there are too many hard memories on that strip of land, including the memories of meeting her husband on the set of an iconic horror movie, being cast as an extra, watching herself get killed on screen, and scoffing at the rumors of the Pinecrest Estate curse … until she witnessed a cast member die that very summer. But when her daughter sneaks away to visit her grandfather, legendary horror-movie director Rick Plummer, Lexi is forced to face her past.

Comic Book Series: “Star Wars: The High Republic” (2021- ) — A new era of Star Wars storytelling begins! Journey back to the High Republic – the golden age of the Jedi! Centuries before the Empire and the Skywalker saga, the Jedi are at their height, protecting the galaxy as Republic pioneers push out into new territories. And can she trust her closest ally?

New Release Streaming Music: Little Big Town – “Mr. Sun” (2022) – This is the latest release from this popular country band featuring their hit, “All Summer.”

Children’s Audiobook Series: “Upside Down Magic” by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins (Parts 1-9) — Nory Horace is 9 years old. She’s resourceful, she’s brave, she likes peanut butter cookies. Also, she’s able to transform into many different animals. Unfortunately, Nory’s shape-shifting talent is a bit wonky. And when she flunks out of her own father’s magic academy, Nory’s forced to enter public school, where she meets a group of kids whose magic is, well, different.

Ebook or Audiobook — “Blonde” by Joyce Carol Oates – This book was recently adapted into a Netflix film of the same title. The novel reimagines the inner, poetic, and spiritual life of Norma Jeane Baker — the child, the woman, the fated celebrity and idolized blonde the world came to know as Marilyn Monroe.
