MARQUETTE — Students in the Marquette public schools will be using about $140,000 worth of new computer equipment in the fall. The Marquette School Board approved the purchase of 40 Macintosh LC computers, 10 printers, and software Tuesday. The computers will be divided among the middle and elementary schools. The purchase is the second phase of the three-year technology plan the board adopted in 1990. Money for the computers came from the $11.95 million bond proposal approved by voters last fall. The district plans to spend a total of $900,000 on new computer equipment.
