CRYSTAL FALLS — The Timber Wolf Alliance is sponsoring a workshop in Crystal Falls Feb. 22 to provide information and training for those interested in wolves. Workshop organizers will discuss the natural history and status of wolves, historical and current attitudes towards wolves, and identify education materials available for public use. In addition, the workshops provide training for individuals who are interested in helping the alliance by becoming members of a speaker’s bureau. The workshop will be at the Michigan DNR Ranger Station in Crystal Falls from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LANSING –Beverly Malnar of Ewen has been named as one of five young adults from Michigan as International Farm Exchange delegates, Mary Woodward, assistant 4-H Club leader at Michigan State University, announced today. Miss Malnar, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Malnar, is presently a senior at Northern Michigan College here. The Upper Peninsula delegate has been assigned to Japan for a six-month period beginning in June 1962 by the National 4-H Foundation in Washington, D.C., International Farm Youth Exchange delegates are selected on the basis of interest in world understanding, ability to represent the United States and general leadership achievement. Miss Malnar was one of Ontonagon County’s outstanding 4-H members.
