ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming City Council approved a two-year $60,000 loan from its revolving loan fund for the U.S National Ski Hall of Fame. The old Ski Hall of Fame will be used as collateral on the loan. The ski hall will use the money to finance displays in its new building so it can open in spring for the 1992 tourist season. “We have a beautiful new building and it won’t be long before spring is here,” said Councilman James Tobin. “It would be embarrassing if there was nothing in it.”

MARQUETTE — North Central Airlines will continue its Sault Ste. Marie route, via Marquette, according to a Civil Aeronautics Board examiner’s recommendation made in Washington, D.C. yesterday. Examiner Franklin M. Stone “found no reason” for suspending service by NCA to the Soo and on several other routes, an Associated Press dispatch from Washington said. It is believed the CAB will continue the airline’s authority to continue the service for an indefinite amount of time.

Starting at $3.23/week.
