Negaunee competes in High School Bowl

The Negaunee Miners played the Mackinaw City Comets in the first round of High School Bowl and were defeated by a score of 230-160. Representing Negaunee, seated from left, are players Judge Anderson, Cadin Steede, team captain Josephine Thomson and Brianna Steede. Standing are alternates Allie Montgomery and Elliot Rasmussen with Coach Gina Sorensen. Players for Mackinaw City are, seated from left, Damon Morse, team captain Jeffrey Siebigteroth, Ella House and Larissa Huffman. Standing is alternate Noah Valot with Coach Lisa Rivera. High School Bowl host Jim Koski is standing at lower left. Forty schools from the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU-TV’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 43 years on the air.
