SAWYER AIR FORCE BASE — Birthdays can be a confusing time for Senior Chief Petty Officer Brian F. Lawrence, the Naval Command Unit’s senior enlisted advisor at Sawyer Air Force Base. The Navy celebrated its birthday Oct. 13 Lawrence celebrated his birthday on the same day. His father, Floyd A. Lawrence, celebrated his birthday, too. The senior Lawrence was also in the Navy and retired as a chief petty officer. For the record, the senior chief was 40, the chief was 73, and the Navy was 216.
