ISHPEMING — Birch, the magician, and his company, using a carload of scenery and equipment, will be the stage attraction today at the new Ishpeming theater. The show will be the first stage presentation in Ishpeming since the theater was remodeled. Birch is among the foremost proponents of magic in the country and will present more than 50 illusions and others acts of magic for the matinee and night performances. A feature of his performances will be his “vanishing pony” act, in which a live pony apparently disappears in the air. The matinee performance will commence at 2:30 and there will be one evening show, starting at 8:30. The performance lasts for more than two hours.
