Hospice to train new volunteers

MARQUETTE — Do you have a smile and a desire to help others? Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice, an independent 100% non-profit organization is looking for people to join its organization.

As a volunteer for Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice you will be a member of a dedicated team that provides exceptional end-of-life care to patients and their families. LSLC&H strives to match a volunteer’s personal interests, talents, and comfort level with the needs of the patient and their family. They provide free comprehensive training to get you started along with continuing support and educational opportunities throughout the year.

They are looking for individuals interested in making friendly visits, providing caregiving relief, working in our veteran-to-veteran program, working on community events and outreach, helping with grounds and building maintenance or providing office support.

Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice invites people to join training for new volunteers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at 914 W. Baraga Ave. Marquette. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Call Susie Duquette at 906-225-7760 or email sduquette@lakesuperiorhospice.org to RSVP.
