City commission meetings Tuesday

MARQUETTE — Due to directives from the state of Michigan, the Tuesday Marquette City Commission special meeting and work session will be held at City Hall without the public in physical attendance. The public is invited to view and participate in both meetings electronically. The special meeting will be streamed on YouTube and Channel 191 starting at 5:15 p.m. and the work session will begin at 6 p.m. The YouTube channel is located at marquettemi.gov/alternatestream. Livestreams may have at least a 20-second delay. There will be two options for public participation in the meetings: phone conferencing or written comment. There will be two public comment periods during each meeting, one at the beginning and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address. Written comments will be limited to 500 words. Written comments can be submitted directly to kwhitney@marquettemi.gov, written submissions will be accepted until noon Tuesday. Officials ask those submitting comments to specify if it is for the special meeting or work session. Agendas for these meetings can be found at https://marquette.novusagenda.com/Agendapublic/.
