People urged to watch for turtles
MARQUETTE — Anyone out spring turkey hunting or scouting a new hunting spot for fall who sees a Blanding’s turtle, Eastern box turtle, spotted turtle or wood turtle are asked to report their observations at Michigan.gov/EyesInTheField.
Eastern massasauga rattlesnake observation reports are also appreciated. These observations provide valuable data on distribution, relative abundance and trends for Michigan’s reptiles and amphibians, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources said.
