Correction: Locks of Love doesn’t charge
MARQUETTE — In Tuesday’s edition of The Mining Journal, a story titled “Chopping it off: NMU student donates hair for children’s cancer” that ran on page 10A incorrectly stated that Locks of Love charges families who are battling pediatric cancer for wigs for their children. The Locks of Love website states that “our recipients receive their custom prostheses free of charge. Additionally, we provide a regular free wig for them to wear during the production period.”
