LANSING — Michigan families and educators plan to hold virtual events to safely spotlight education options during School Choice Week 2021, set for Sunday through Jan. 30.

They are set to host 1,122 virtual or at-home celebrations during the week, including a series of video testimonials.Taking place annually since 2011, School Choice Week is America’s largest celebration of educational choice.

A growing number of Michigan communities have issued proclamations recognizing School Choice Week, including Ishpeming Township as well as downstate Dearborn Heights, Port Sheldon Township, Columbus and Auburn Hills.
